Personally Identifiable Information refers to information that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name, phone number, company name, email or postal address. In many cases I need this information to provide the personalized or enhanced service that you have requested or when you purchase a product for continued support. The amount of Personally Identifiable Information that you choose to disclose to me is completely up to you. The only way I know something about you personally is if you provide it to me.
What information do I collect and how do I use it?
I collect information on my users in two ways: by your voluntary submissions (for instance, if you sign up for one of my email newsletters or provide information when making a consultation request or purchasing an add-in); and through cookie technology.
The information I collects is used in a variety of ways: for internal review; to improve the content of the site, thus making your user experience more valuable; to notify you about updates; to provide you information you have requested; and to let you know about my products and services.
Email: If you have provided your email address for any newsletter service or opted to be informed of any updates to a product, I periodically send emails about updates to the site . If you do not wish to receive email information from me, please let me know by emailing me at: Shyam@MVPs.Org. You will not receive any unsolicited email from my site.
End-User Registration Information: All commercial add-ins are available for a fee. In order to process a software purchase and registration, I must ask purchasers of software their: (a) name; (b) company name; (d) postal address; (e) email address, and; (f) telephone number. Credit card information submitted during the product registration process is collected on a secure site using secure socket layer encryption. I do not sell, lease, or otherwise make use of the customer information that you submit during the product registration process.
Disclosure: My policy is not to disclose personally identifiable information to unrelated third unless required to do so by law or legal process. I, at my sole discretion, reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy in extraordinary circumstances (such as a bomb or suicide threat, or instances of suspected illegal activity) on a case-by-case basis.
Compelling Obligation. Although I will take reasonable measures not to disclose information about you or the contents of your communications, I may be compelled to do so in the good faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary (a) to comply with the law; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to enforce these terms and conditions; (d) to respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties; (f) to protect the interests of OfficeTips.
