Toolbox FAQ

• Help! I cannot load the Toolbox addin.

Note: If you are a PowerPoint 2000/XP user, ensure that the security level is set to MEDIUM. If set to HIGH it will prevent the add-in from loading. Launch PowerPoint 2000. Check that the macro settings are set to a security level - MEDIUM

1. Select Tools|Macros|Security on the security level tab, check MEDIUM.

2. Click on OK

3. Once the add-in has been loaded you can set the Security level back to HIGH.

• I cannot locate Shyam's Toolbox toolBar

The toolbar is not created by default. To enable creation of the toolbar, select "Shyam's Toolbox | Toolbox Options...". Switch to the 'Customize ToolBar' tab, tick create toolbar. Now select the items which you wish to add to the toolbar. Click on Save. This will now create the toolbar.

• I cannot locate some menu items which are shown on the website.

Shyam's Toolbox creates menu items based on the version of PowerPoint on which it is installed. Certain features are not supported in earlier version, hence the menu items which access these are not created. e.g. the comment converter only gets created in XP and above. The Change Text Language only gets created on versions 2000 and above.

• 'Change' button in Change Links window remains disabled even if links are displayed.

This bug has been fixed in version 1.0.0.4. Please check the version of Shyam's Toolbox that you are using.

 

• Issue: Version 1.0.0.4 receive Trial expired message even after registering. .
